Public Consultation on Proposed Amendments to the Standards of Operation for Pharmacies

The College is seeking input on proposed amendments to the Standards of Operation for Pharmacies. These Standards set out the requirements to ensure pharmacies in Ontario deliver safe, effective care and meet regulatory obligations under the Drug and Pharmacies Regulation Act, 1990.

As scope of practice has expanded, the College has explored safeguards to support safe implementation. Your insights will help assess whether the proposed changes are reasonable, feasible and achievable. You’re invited to share your perspective on the potential benefits, drawbacks, and any other additional considerations.

Registrants, members of the public, and system partners are invited to share their feedback on this open consultation by August 15, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. ET
