Good communication, both verbal and written, is essential for providing appropriate and comprehensive patient care must also be able to provide information and education to their patients to enable them to make informed decisions and receive the intended benefits of their medications or therapies. Administering Injections Practice Topic

The Pharmacy Act authorizes pharmacy professionals, in accordance with the terms, conditions and limitations set out in their certificate of registration, to administer substances specified in the regulations (O. Reg. 256/24) by injection. Before doing so, pharmacy professionals must have completed a College-approved injection training course and registered their training with the College.
