OCP Welcomes New Registrar and CEO
November 18, 2025The Ontario College of Pharmacists is pleased to welcome Jay O’Neill as he officially assumes the role of OCP’s new Registrar and Chief Executive Officer.
“I’m honoured to be part of a team of talented and passionate staff who are dedicated to OCP’s legislated public-interest mandate,” says Jay. “Over the coming weeks and months, I plan to connect, listen and learn from the broader OCP community and stakeholders as we look ahead to a busy year that will focus heavily on advancing regulatory priorities aimed at helping Ontarians continue to feel assured that they can trust in the care they receive from pharmacy professionals everywhere.”
Among the many activities Jay looks forward to is reigniting opportunities to meet with system partners and registrants in person and virtually. Please watch for more information early in the New Year. As Jay onboards to the organization, OCP would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to Acting Registrar Susan James and Acting CEO Thomas Custers for their steady leadership over the past year and who now resume their normal responsibilities as Director of Registration & Quality and Director of Corporate Services, respectively.
